- October 10, 2005 - NurseWeek - KT Waxman, was interviewed about simulation training. CINHC and the FCCC are developed a proposal for Bay Area regional simulation centers. Deloras Jones said, "Simulation training is cutting-edge, state-of-the-art. We believe that the regional simulation center model in the Bay Area will have applicability for others around the state."
- October 10, 2005 - NurseWeek - In a report on the "Magic in Teaching" conference, NurseWeek reporter John Leighty quotes presenter Tim Porter-O'Grady: "The big struggle for nurse leaders today is creating a bridge between the old and the new." KT Waxman, CINHC, noted that Magic in Teaching is geared toward nursing faculty interested in increasing school capacity .
- " We need to do serious work now or we'll have a perfect storm that will hit in 2010. That's when the first of the baby boomers will become eligible for Medicare and the number of retiring nurses will be greater than the number of new nurses entering the profession, " said Deloras Jones in a San Jose Business Journal article on community colleges turning away nursing school applicants.
